Abstract

Three new dinuclear tin complexes, [Me 2 Sn(2-OC 6 H 4 CH-NCH[Pr i ]COO)]SnMe 2 Cl 2 ( 1 ), [Me 2 Sn(2-OC 10 H 6 CH-NCH 2 COO)SnMe 2 Cl 2 ( 2 ) and [Ph 2 Sn(2-OC 10 H 6 CH-NCH 2 COO)]SnPh 2 Cl 2 ( 3 ), were prepared and characterized by spectroscopic studies and elemental analyses as a 1 : 1 adduct between diorganotin dichloride (acceptor) and bicycloazastannoxide (donor). A full X-ray crystal structure analysis was performed on 3 and the results confirmed that the donor and the acceptor moieties of 3 are bonded with an Sn-O bond distance of 2.307A˚.
