Abstract
Moisture is one of the most important factors affecting the performance of transformer oil-paper insulation. The moisture content and moisture distribution in transformer oil-paper insulation are the important basis for evaluating the insulation status of transformer. In order to explore the migration process and its characteristics of moisture in oil-paper insulation, this paper deeply analyzes the variation trend of moisture content in insulating oil and pressboard, and studies the relationship between moisture content in oil and pressboard when reaching equilibrium under the experimental conditions of 35°C, 50°C, 70°C and humidity of 20%, 40%, 60% and 80%.The results show that the migration of moisture in oil-paper is essentially two processes, one is the interaction of moisture between oil and external space, the other is the interaction of moisture between oil and pressboard, and oil is the intermediate medium; when the moisture migration reaches equilibrium, the moisture content diffused from the oil to the pressboard is equal to that from the pressboard to the oil. With the increasing of temperature, the moisture migrates from pressboard to oil.
