Abstract

Islamic religious education is a school subject of educational and educational character, equally. Some of the elements of this subject's materials that could be enhanced by the use of multimedia content and the Internet are: learning Arabic in prayer, learning to perform religious rites, learning lessons from the history of Islam, familiarizing with religious culture and tradition and ways of marking Islamic holidays and checking the acquired knowledge . The paper describes the possibilities of applying IT in the learning of the mentioned material elements, with emphasis on the use of multimedia teaching materials and the Internet. First of all, the way of using PowerPoint presentations in the processing of materials is presented. These presentations are often used in teaching, and have the ability to insert images, audio and video content and create e-tests of knowledge. Prayer learning can be enhanced through the Quran audio and video that can be found on multimedia CDs and on the Internet. One way to properly learn prayer is to overcome the Arabic letter and to learn prayers written in Arabic. Learning Arabic script allows various applications enriched with animation and sound. Execution of religious rituals can be learned using web pages that contain images, audio and video content, as well as video tutorials. Learning lessons from the history of Islam is facilitated by lectures by eminent experts, which can be found on the Internet in the form of text, audio and video. There are also a number of feature and animated films about events from the history of Islam. Getting acquainted with religious culture and tradition and ways of celebrating Islamic holidays can be done more successfully with the help of texts from official websites of Islamic communities from the surrounding area and viewing videos of celebrating Islamic holidays. Examination of acquired knowledge for some areas of Islamic religious education can be done with the help of electronic knowledge tests, which enable self-testing. Specific examples are given for the above mentioned ways of using multimedia content and the Internet. It has also been suggested the development of advanced software for self-test of the success of learning the prayer in the Arabic language.
