Abstract

Objectives: With growing experience more and more important factors with high influence on short- and long-term effects on TAVI outcome are discovered. However, no testing device for the evaluation of minimal invasive valves has been developed so far. Simultaneously, researchers in cardiovascular TE require increasingly complex bioreactors to simulate physiologic conditions in-vitro. The necessary knowledge of engineering and the rising price quickly become limiting factors for further development. To overcome this problem, we developed the modular dynamic flow testing device Modyflow.
