Abstract

Modulated microwave absorption in conventional superconductors at low magnetic field is discussed. The microwave losses in the mixed state of superconductors are described in terms of viscous motion of vortices depinned by the critical state magnetization current. Modulation of this current yields hysteretic effects similar to those observed in high-temperature superconductors. The considered model of the microwave absorption is generalized to involve both the case of conventional and high-temperature superconductors.
