Abstract
The manufacturing industry has faced a variety of changes in the business environment, and is required to establish a production system that can respond quickly to changes in the business environment. CPF (Cyber-Physical Factory) is proposed to improve dynamic response capabilities. For a production line as a CPF, this paper addresses a modeling of the lines based on MCM (Manufacturing Cyber Module). MCM is a cluster of elementary modules, such as robot, carrying equipment, buffer, and so on, with operational capabilities for process requirements. The MCM cluster is composed through process planning and scheduling to satisfy production requirements.
