Abstract

In this paper a novel method, Modified Emperor Penguin Optimizer Algorithm (MEPOA) is developed for optimal allocation of Energy Storage System (ESS) and Phasor Measurement Units (PMU) in the power distribution system. The main objective of this research is to enhance voltage stability considering power balance and voltage limit constraints. The MEPOA are to produce the group limit, calculate hotness around the group, find the distance, and compute the efficient mover. The proposed MEPOA is performed in MATLAB platform and the implementation is tested with standard IEEE 33-bus networks. The simulation results show that the proposed MEPOA give better ESS and PMU allocation.
