Abstract

Marked improvements in the main mechanical properties of high density polyethylene were obtained by adding small amounts of thermoelastoplasts to the latter. The mechanism of the effect in question was found to consist in thermoelastoplast distribution in disordered regions of the polyethylene along with preservation of the primary crystalline structure of the polymer.
