MODERN TENDS AND DEVELOPMENT PERSPECTIVE OF TRADE OF UKRAINE IN GOODS

Abstract

The relevance of the study is determined by the fact that the development of foreigntrade has not overcome the tendency of instability, imbalance, inefficiency, as well as the potential ofcooperation with international partners has not been realized. The aim of the study is to analyze andassess current trends in the development of Ukraine’s foreign trade in goods, identify problems andprospects in this field. The article evaluates the development of Ukrainian trade in goods according tothe current conditions. Highlighted the essential problems in the foreign trade of Ukrainian goods in therelationship with the main trade partners; analysed the export structure of goods by the main types ofproduction, as a result it has shown mainly negative characteristics of its development; outlined thedevelopment perspective of the studied sphere. An analysis of the tendencies of foreign trade in Ukrainian goods proves mainly negative quantitative and qualitative features, since in the last period we observe a significant reduction of export volumes, its structure is not rational, which does not correspondto the features of economically developed countries; we have significant losses of finished goods salesin the CIS markets, concluding agreements on the search for new partners is not very fruitful, and mostof the export losses are caused by military-political actions in the Eastern part of our country. Successfuldevelopment of Ukraine’s foreign trade as a priority measures requires the development and implementation of a strategy to increase exports of products with high added value, enhancement of quality andtechnical regulations for products, further diversification of markets.
