Abstract
The article deals with the concept of sustainable development of the enterprise, provides the author’s interpretation of sustainability. It is proposed indicators for assessment of sustainability of the enterprise, it is recommended to use the concept of lean manufacturing to ensure sustainability of the enterprise. It is considered main types of losses in the production organization and ways to overcome these losses. It is considered lean manufacturing tools and proposed an algorithm implementation of lean production for Russian enterprises to ensure their sustainable development.
