Abstract
The main provisions of the modern Roman Catholic doctrine of marriage and family, the problems of bioethics, the upbringing of children (gender education) are analyzed. The theoretical legacy of Pope John Paul II devoted to the family problems and vocation of women, the activities of the Pope Francis on the modernization of the family ethics of the Catholic Church is considered.

Аналізуються основні засади сучасного римо-католицького вчення про шлюб та сім’ю, проблеми біоетики, виховання дітей (гендерне виховання). У житті вірних Католицької Церкви питання про шлюб та сім’ю а також проблеми біоетики набувають величезної ваги. Нинішній римський папа Франциск, погляди якого є певною мірою ліберальними, визначає питання про родину й шлюб як першочергові в житті Католицької Церкви.
