Abstract
Discussions of the past thirty years about the crisis of rationality in dialogue with the ideas of the turn of the 21st century have revealed a range of key aspects centred around the concept of “open rationality” and reflection on the emerging “philosophy of transdisciplinarity”. The article emphasises the immutability of the existential component in the understanding and implementation of “real rationality”, taking into account the modern focus of the problem of rationality as a discursive (theoretical thematisation and conflict of interpretations) and instrumental one (effectiveness of solving particular problems). The reproduction of meanings and the realisation of existential content in the dynamics of the formation of modern rationality is of decisive importance for resolving the crisis of rationality as a sociocultural problem, as well as building a range of opportunities specific for various situations to follow a critical- reflexive strategy, a person’s creative “inclusion” in the world, combining freedom of will with conscious necessity.
