Abstract

The article considers the development of a system of specialized environmental courts by example of Chile. The paper describes the role of environmental courts in enforcing environmental laws, resolving claims, interpreting laws, and convening specialized meetings and forums to resolve environmental disputes. The authors analyze the formation of such courts in Chile and come to the conclusion about the creation of environmental courts of an interdisciplinary structure at the special jurisdiction level.
