Abstract

The article considers the dynamics of the areas, structure, and condition of unused lands intended for agriculture and the volume of involvement in farming business, as well as the areas of land plots registered and transferred to rural commodity producers over the last years in the Russian Federation. It is shown that the current amount of land restoration doesn’t compensate for the needs of the state. The authors insist on necessity of comprehensive land use planning activities by developing appropriate land use planning procedures.
