Abstract
The Ecuadorian wound care centers are health units specialized in the treatment of acute and chronic wounds; their processes are developed in base of the general parameters issued by the Ministry of Health, however, there are no clearly established parameters to measure the quality that is offered by these centers. Therefore, in this work a model for the implementation of a quality management system is proposed, the one which is based on the ISO 9011:2015 for a wound care center. Being a theoretical research, it was done on the basis of deep epistemological studies from the application of the following methods: systemic, hermeneutic, dialectical, and holistic, which allowed to analyze the quality standards of the ISO 9001:2015 in relation with the strategic operational and support processes in a wound care center. The proposed model consists in the integration of the organization and the standardization of its processes, which is composed by three dimensions; with their respective categories, the ones that emerge as guiding components in the application of relevant quality standards of the aforementioned norm in the administrative and operational processes, essential for a successful, efficient and effective health care attention according to the needs of the patients, contributing to the improvement of their quality of life.
