Abstract

Art industrial process is an open system which has multiple exchanges with the environment (material, energy, information). Its running is controlled by a set of retro-actions which adapt the system to the external conditions and to the events. The modelling of a system consists in projecting it on a sub-space of representation, which corresponds to a partial apprehension of the reality. We build a methodology of cybernetic approach based on the joint utilization of two types of complementary modelling, the main purpose of which being to analyze and understand the internal phenomena of complex industrial processes, with an example of application to a rotary cement kiln using the semi dry process. The results are discussed.
