Abstract
This study focuses on analysis of arbitrarily modified architecture of piezoelectric microgripper for unmanned aerial vehicle application. The piezoelectric analysis is carried out in COMSOL MULTIPHYSICS 4.2 software. The existing piezoelectric and structurally modified piezoelectric microgripper are modelled and analysed. Different materials such as silicon, polysilicon and silicon dioxide are taken into consideration for analysis among which silicon dioxide gives better result when compared to other materials. The total displacements of existing and modified micro grippers are numerically analysed and the modified microgripper gives better result when compared to existing microgripper
