Abstract
Based on the solution of the contact mechanics problem, a model of wear of the "diamond-containing mineral ceramics — ceramics" friction pair is constructed, in which diamond grains in the ceramic matrix are represented as spherical segments of the same radius. The law of distribution of diamond grains in a ceramic matrix is power law. The dependences of grinding productivity and wear rate of diamond-containing tools on the physical and mechanical properties of contacting materials, roughness parameters of friction surfaces and loading conditions are obtained.
