Abstract
The nonlinear interaction (involving internal resonances) of deformation modes of orthotropic circular cylindrical shells filled with a fluid and undergoing free vibrations is studied. A problem statement and problem-solving method are given. Three problems are addressed: (i) interaction of standing waves, (ii) interaction of traveling circumferential waves, and (iii) interaction of standing and traveling waves. For each of the problems, integral characteristics that relate the amplitude and the frequency of interacting waves are derived
