Abstract

AbstractThis article describes various approaches to the fuzzy set theory in different areas of science, as well as defines the necessary mathematical framework and the concept of its application within the study. It has been revealed that the learning activity for future IT specialists is highly specific, as it is inseparably connected with the shaping of algorithmic thinking and skills of formalizing ill-posed problems. These factors strongly influence the set of input parameters of the model and the selection of terms for their fuzzy measurement. The authors propose a software model of learning activities for future IT scientists based on the fuzzy set theory. The proposed approach allows generating the appropriate model based on the verbal fuzzy estimates of input parameters, using a large array of input parameters, and correctly accounting for hard-to-formalize factors. The results of the work bring the process of predictive assessment of students closer to the intuitive way of communication, which was successfully related to mathematics by Lotfi Zadeh, the founder of fuzzy logic.KeywordsModelingLearning activitiesFuzzy logic
