Abstract

This paper addresses a new state space mathematical model for describing special wound synchronous generator with two sets of three-phase stator windings in star connection and rectification load (RLWSG) based on operation mode classification method. The state space model can reflect all operating mode of rectifiers including conduction and commutation modes of diodes, interaction between two sets of three-phase windings in star connection and take excited current and speed of prime mover all into consideration. Effectiveness of this model is verified by comparison between simulations and experimental results of prototype.
