Abstract
A solution of the coupled nonstationary boundary-value problem of turbulent flow around a flat heat-conducting plate of finite thickness having local regions with volume heat sources is given. For modeling the heat transfer in the boundary layer, thek-e turbulence model is used. It is shown that the thermal conductivity of the plate material significantly affects the surface distributions of both temperature and local friction.
