Abstract

Numerical calculations in the framework of a percolation model are performed to study stationary diffusion and conduction in thin layers of disordered materials. It is shown that when the fraction of unbroken bonds on a square lattice in two dimensions is less than 0.25 the diffusion coefficient (conductivity) of a strip cut out of the lattice depends exponentially on the strip width.
