Abstract
In order to solve the problem of operational task modeling, a new modeling method is proposed based on the analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of the two modeling languages of IDEF and UML. First, according to the functional requirements of the operational task modeling, the feasibility and the time of using IDEF0 and IDEF3 to model are discussed. This paper gives a detailed description of how IDEF0 and IDEF3 are used to describe the logical and time sequence relationship between operational tasks. Then the mapping rules between IDEF0, IDEF3 and UML are given to transform the IDEF0 and IDEF3 models into UML models. Finally, the submarine-ship antagonizing is constructed to verify the effectiveness of the method.
