Abstract

The effect of fin thickness, pitch and height on thermal resistance in the wave-typed heat sink with air vent hole on the top of fin was investigated under forced convection by Icepak program. The thermal resistance decreased with increasing fin thickness, resulting from the increased surface area. However, as the fin pitch and height increased, the thermal resistance was saturated at the fin pitch and fin height above 2mm and 30mm, respectively.
