Abstract

Due to the randomness of natural wind, the output power of wind power generators is of uncertainty. Furthermore, with the increasing scale of grid-connected wind power generators, the impact it has on the grid cannot be ignored. To take the permanent magnet directly driven wind power generators as the research object in this paper, the equivalent 150MW wind-power farm model is established based on the wind power generator model and equivalent wind-power farm built up in this paper. On the basic of that, their simulation models are given by using Matlab/Simulink. And the simulation results and analysis are described. Next, the models of single grid-connected wind power generation system and single load are also given. Finally, this paper establishes a 6-node power system model, through changing the location of connected-to-grid and the scale of grid-connected wind power generators penetration rate, it can be used to study on characteristics of power grid caused by grid-connected wind power generation systems. According to the simulation results and analysis, the characteristics of power grid with different location and penetration of grid-connected wind power generators are achieved.
