Abstract
Partitioning is a core concept of the IMA (Integrated Modular Avionics) software architecture. It improves the reliability and security of the IMA, but also makes the development more difficult. This paper presents a modeling method of the IMA partitioning based on AADL (architecture analysis & design language). According to the discussion of the mapping rules, the model of the IMA partitioning is built in two aspects: the architecture modeling and the scheduling policy modeling. The architecture model describes the frame of the IMA partition, and the scheduling policy model describes the actual scheduling actions. Finally, the schedulability of the IMA partitioning is also verified based on the model.
