Abstract

This paper presents an L-shaped piezoelectric energy harvester (PEH) constructed by adding a cylindrical rigid body at the end of the horizontal cantilever. The theoretical model of the presented system is established. The correctness of the model is verified by testing performance and comparing the results. The effects of several key parameters on the output power and the optimal size parameters are deduced by simulation for the harvester. The presented harvester has a maximum power output of 533.9 μW under the resonant frequency of 15 Hz when the excitation acceleration is 0.2 g and optimal load resistance is 100 kΩ.
