Abstract

Due to the complex anatomy and small size of the involved structures, otological surgery requires training in order to obtain the proper skills. For ethical and practical rea­sons, the operating room is not the proper place for achieving this. The lack of anatomical pieces and the increased dif­fi­cul­ty in procuring human temporal bones (in Romania and abroad) have led to alternative solutions.
