Abstract
The article deals with the use of eponyms in the names of medicinal plants and the methods of formation of various models of the name of medicinal plants on materials of French, Russian and Latin languages. The subject of the study were the names of medicinal plants, which include eponyms and various models for the name of medicinal plants. The purpose of the study is to conduct a comparative analysis of French, Russian and Latin names of medicinal plants. In the future, it is desirable to consider the use of eponyms in the names of medicinal plants in modern medical discourse, to arrange the French-Ukrainian (and vice versa) dictionary that maximizes the needs of users.
