Abstract

Abstract The method of modal synthesis via constant output feedback of a two-input, n-state, and k-output system is presented. It is based on the solution of the set of n linear-quadratic algebraic equations in which the only non-linear terms are the second-degree minors of the output feedback matrix. In the case where n=2k a very useful reformulation, reducing the numbers of unknowns, is possible. The method can be algorithmized and enables us to obtain the general form of the output feedback matrix
