Abstract

The goal of this research is to execute a modal analysis of the functionally graded piezoelectric material rectangular plate to find the natural frequency with different mode shapes by using the Finite Element (FE) Technique. The functionally graded piezoelectric material plate is considered to be graded along the thickness and follow the simplified power-law. FEM code has been developed in ANSYS 17.2 for modal analysis of the functionally graded piezoelectric material (FGPM) rectangular plate. The FGPM Rectangular plate mode shapes and natural frequencies are observed at varying boundary conditions. The effect of power-law exponent n variation on the natural frequency of the FGPM plate with different boundary conditions are considered, and results are presented.
