Abstract

With the rapid increase in the number of electric vehicles (EVs) and the instability of renewable energy generation, issues of EV charging service had emerged as well as extreme pressures had been put on the distribution systems (DS). To address these problems, this paper proposes a mobile charging station planning platform, which provides EV users charging schemes with consideration of the queuing time and deployment of mobile charging stations, improving the of charging services convenience. Moreover, the charging and discharging periods of mobile charging stations are also controlled by the platform in optimization schemes to realize load regulation and renewable energy consumption of DSs. Furthermore, in post-disaster DSs, mobile charging stations are used to serve as distributed power sources for load recovery services, thus improving DSs' resilience in disasters. The above schemes are established as linear programming models, and their effectiveness is demonstrated with examples.
