<h3>Grants, Awards</h3> A $75,000 grant has been made to the<b>University of Utah College of Medicine</b>by the John and Mary R. Markle Foundation, New York. In announcing the grant, University president James C. Fletcher said the funds will be used toward construction of the university's Medical Sciences Library. The library, to be located adjacent to the colleges of medicine, nursing, and pharmacy and the university hospital, will be available to serve all units of the university. <b>Robert L. Jackson</b>, MD, professor and chairman of the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Missouri School of Medicine, has been awarded a $40,450 grant by the National Institute of Arthritis and Metabolic Diseases. Funds from the grant will be used to continue research and a teaching program concerned with the control of diabetics and other endocrine disturbances in children, and provide fellowships for four medical students and two pediatricians.
