Abstract

Objective To investigate the minimum effective dose of methoxamine in prevention of hypotension during cesarean section.Methods Thirty ASA Ⅰ or Ⅱ patients,single fetus pregnancy,elective cesarean section were enrolled in this study.Used spina.-epidural anesthesia.Anesthetic injection while instantly from intravenous methoxamine 4 mg.Then observe blood pressure,the next example maternal given methoxamine dose based on last one case of maternal hypotension,Adjacent experimental interval dose was 0.5 mg.The up and down sequential method was used to determine minimum effective dose of methoxamine prevent hypotension during cesarean section.Results The minimum effective dose of methoxamine pretreatment hypotension during cesarean section was 2.21 mg,95% confidence interval (CI) was 1.96-2.98 mg.Conclusions The results will help the selection of the appropriate dose of methoxamine to prevent hypotension in cesarean section.
