Abstract
Exact dynamical equations, which couple the operators for transitions between two-cluster partitions ofN particles, are analysed. It is shown that the equations become connected under minimal conditions afterN—2 iterations. Cluster models are studied and their detailed structure is examined in the case of the four- and five-body problems.
