Abstract
According to the digital world, automobile is an important aspect of life. The Automatic car is a very crucial and essential area for engineers and researchers. This paper proposes a cost-efficient and user-friendly Manumatic Transmission Car. The word Manumatic formed by combining two different words - Manual & Automatic. Automatic transmission and convenient driver control is the main importance of this manumatic transmission car. The manumatic car is implemented with an Ultrasonic sensor, two IR sensor, a Color sensor, a Bluetooth module, a Motor Driver IC, a LCD display, two DC motor, a GPS module, a GSM module, a buzzer two 9V battery and an Arduino microcontroller board (MEGA 2560). The Arduino MEGA board is the main processing unit which receives signal from the input device, then process it and transmit the result to output device. The Android application transmits the signal to the Arduino board of Manumatic car and as a result, the car moves in the desired direction without any human intervention. The system has an Ultrasonic sensor HC-SR04 for detecting obstacles on its track and measuring the distance of automatic car from the obstacle. The LCD display shows the measured distance. If any obstacle is present within a certain distance, the buzzer will blow and the car will stop. The GPS module continuously locates the Geographical coordinates of the car and sent an SMS to the client through the GSM module. The color sensor TCS 3200 can decode traffic signal color information. The control commands (forward, backward, left and right) are transmitted from the android application to Bluetooth Module via Bluetooth communication.
