Abstract

The technology of complementary split ring resonators (CSRR) and substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) resonators are combined and a novel millimeter-wave band pass filter is proposed in this paper. By etching CSRRs on the top layer and adding dual-mode cavities beside the dominant-mode cavities, the rejection level of both lower and upper sideband improved significantly. The simulated insertion loss and return loss of the designed band-pass filter operating from 45GHz to 47GHz is better than −2.3dB and −20dB, respectively. The rejection level of lower band and higher band is above −60dB and −40dB. It can be applied to the wireless communication system working at Q-band.
