Abstract
Svetlana Rakić is associate professor of art at Franklin College in Franklin, Indiana. She is the author of several books on Serbian Orthodox icons and the interrelatedness of modern art and religious thought. She worked as a consultant at the Institute for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage in Sarajevo and as a curator at the State Art Gallery of Bosnia-Herzegovina. She would like to thank Aleksander Kuzmanovich for helping her gather the information on the present situation of major icon collections from Bosnia-Herzegovina.
