Abstract
In article 2004412, Jiansheng Jie, Yuen Hong Tsang, and co-workers report the epitaxial growth of van der Waals like mosaic-like, 2D platinum ditelluride for highly sensitive room-temperature mid-infrared photodetection. PtTe2/Si Schottky junctions are capable of sensing ultrabroadband light with a wavelength of up to 10.6 μm with a high specific detectivity that is superior to most MIR photodetectors based on 2D layered materials; moreover, their arrays display an excellent room-temperature MIR imaging capability.
