Abstract
Stereo-complementary asymmetric split resonator (Stereo-CASR) perforated on a copper sheet is proposed for designing microwave resonator sensor. The effect of the degree of asymmetry on the frequency response is thoroughly studied. Compared with traditional planar ASR, stereo-CASR exhibits a nearly 100% transmission at resonate state and possesses a much higher Q factor. The performance of the stereo-CASR assisted microwaves sensor is validated by full wave simulation. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
