Abstract

A microwave photonic radar with a microwave photonic analog image-reject de-chirp processing receiver is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. By introducing the microwave photonic analog image-reject de-chirp processing, the image interferences and other undesired components can be effectively suppressed in the photonic analog domain. Inverse synthetic aperture radar imaging in the X band with a 2-GHz working bandwidth is experimentally achieved, with the interference successfully suppressed.
