Abstract

K0.5Na0.5NbO3 (KNN) lead-free piezoelectric ceramics have been prepared from KNN powders which were synthesized by microwave hydrothermal method, and its morphology were characterized by XRD and SEM. The relationship between piezoelectric properties, microstructure and microwave hydrothermal parameters such as temperature, holding time, alkaline concentration has been discussed in detail. The results indicate that phase of KNN ceramics were pure orthorhombic symmetry. When the powders synthesized at 160°C for 7 h, the final ceramic grains posses considerably better distribution and more homogonous in size and piezoelectric constants of ceramic is up to 126 pC/N.
