Abstract
A microwave Hall effect signal produced by a TE/sub 11p/ degenerate cylindrical cavity is considered. The analysis presented identifies the cavity end walls as the source of the Hall signal, and a formula relating the Hall output power to the dimensions of the cavity is derived. Experimental results from the measurement of the empty cavity signal at 9.5 GHz are reported. >
