Abstract

AbstractMeasurements are reported of the microwave Faraday effect at a frequency of 33 GHz in samples of n‐type Ge with carrier concentrations ranging from 5 × 1015 to 3 × 1017 cm−3. From these results the anisotropy of the momentum relaxation time for pure ionized impurity scattering is found to have a value of Kτ(i) = 11 ± 1. This value is comparedwith results from previous experimental investigations and is in good agreement with theoretical predictions.
