Abstract

The AlCoCrFeNi2.1YHf high-entropy alloy coating was prepared on the surface of 35CrMo steel by plasma cladding. And its microstructure, micro-hardness and corrosion resistance were studied. The results show that the coating consists of columnar, dendrites and some equiaxed grains, the grains consist of FCC phase rich in Fe, Cr and Co elements, and the B2 phase rich in Al and Ni elements is mainly distributed among the grains. In the coating, the distribution of each element is relatively uniform and the diffusion to the substrate is not obvious, the micro-hardness of the coating is higher than that of the substrate, the peak hardness occurs in the heat affected zone, and the corrosion resistance of the coating is significantly better than that of the substrate.
