Abstract

The effects of Mo, Al and Ti additions on the corrosive–wear and immersion corrosion performances of FeCoNiCr–based coatings were investigated, and the corrosive–wear and corrosion mechanisms were discussed. The results show that the corrosive–wear resistance of FeCoNiCr–Al HEA coating is the highest among the three kinds of coatings, and the corrosive–wear mechanism is combined of abrasive wear, adhesive wear, oxidative wear and pitting corrosion. The immersion corrosion rates of FeCoNiCr–Mo, –Al and –Ti HEA coatings are 6.94 × 10–5, 2.78 × 10–4, and 5.56 × 10–4 m•h–1, respectively, and the corrosion mechanism is pitting corrosion by the attack of Cl–.
