Abstract
A composite process of laser cladding and laser shocking is proposed to prepare the Ti-6Al-4V alloy coating. The structure before laser shocking is flake β phase and acicular martensite α ′ phase precipitated at the grain boundary of the flake β phase. The staggered distribution of acicular martensite α ′ forms a basket structure. After laser shocking, the flake β phase is refined, and the basket structure orientation becomes more complex. In addition, the structure is more uniform and denser. The laser shocking influence depth is about 1.7 mm, the microhardness is increased to 470 to 530 HV0.2, the friction coefficient is decreased to 0.35, the wear amount is decreased by 26%, and the wear form changes from the comprehensive role of abrasive and adhesive wear to abrasive wear.
