Abstract
This paper proposes a microstrip antenna with novel slot resonator for compact RF energy harvesting modules operating at 2.4 GHz. The antenna has the overall size of λ0/3 × λ0/3 with electrically small slot radiator of λ0/11 × λ0/15 at 2.4 GHz. Both measurement and simulation results show the proposed energy harvesting antenna to be utilized in DC power supply modules of modern low power wireless networks. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
