Abstract

A simple procedure is described for the decomposition of organic fluoro compounds by sodium peroxide fusion in a microbomb. The resulting fluoride solution is then treated with total ionic strength adjustment buffer and the potential measured by means of fluoride electrode in a pH meter. Presence of boron and phosphorus do not interfere. The %F can be easily determined by calculation against two standards containing 10 and 100μg F respectively.
